The clients sought to create an open and inviting living space with a modern aesthetic that would let natural light flow through the home and seamlessly update the existing property. We worked closely with the architect to design the space, collaborating with them and our clients during the design phase.

Within the new space, the kitchen, in particular, is rich with beautifully executed and intricate features. Some of these features include honed Aquila marble across the benchtops, splashbacks, rangehood and island bench, with fluted rounds to the island bench and rangehood box. Tasmanian oak veneer joinery including shaker cabinet doors complimented with brass handleware. The open plan kitchen leads to a spacious butler’s kitchen featuring the same statement marble, maximising design cohesion, and two-pack shaker cabinetry with custom black aluminium framed glass shelves. The standout herringbone parquetry timber floors are beautifully finished and carried throughout the kitchen, living and dining spaces.

As you head outside the bagged render to the walls in quarter strength tea complements the beautifully executed custom aluminium battens to the alfresco ceiling. The existing pavers were pulled up and meticulously relaid in a herringbone pattern for a more elevated feel. In addition to the new space and outdoor area, the north facing facade on the upper storey of the home saw all windows replaced to ensure a seamless update.

Our in-house painting team undertook substantial painting works both inside the new addition, and outside to the bagged render, steel doors, exterior wood work (including the door, frames and windows). The meticulous attention to detail in every aspect of this project led to a breathtaking open-plan kitchen, dining and living room that will continue to impress for years to come.
