Churchill Clarence Park Craig Linke Building Adelaide

Working closely with the homeowners, this project saw this 1920s bungalow restored and substantially extended to create a contemporary space that also capitalised on the bungalow’s beautiful heritage features. Works included improvements to the property’s heritage facade, a complete re-roof, and a new custom-made carport crafted from powder-coated structural steel and Colorbond cladding. Extensive internal renovation works included updates to the living room, and a new master bathroom featuring artisan tiles, a free-standing bath and a wall-hung vanity crafted from the clients’ old bedhead.

The expansive extension features the addition of an open plan kitchen and dining/ sitting room, walk-in pantry, laundry, study, and master bedroom with walk-in-robe and ensuite. The outdoor space includes two decks, a pergola crafted from reclaimed timber, custom pool fence and new fencing around the entire property. Other noteworthy features include a cantilevered kitchen bench crafted from reclaimed jarrah, Victorian Stall House pendant lights above the Caesarstone benchtop, and overhead cupboards with recessed LED strip lights. Likewise, reclaimed timber doors throughout the property and a floating desk crafted from reclaimed jarrah floorboards salvaged during demolition seamlessly blended the old and new.

"We truly believe that engaging Craig Linke Bespoke Building to manage our extension brought out the full potential of our 1925 bungalow. CLBB delivered a home we will enjoy for many years to come; a home that is a reflection of our style and of Craig Linke’s attention to detail.

"We had a clear vision of what we wanted, and we were very involved in the project, but nothing was too much trouble. The team work diligently and treat the site not as their worksite, but as your home, sweeping up at the end of the day even when there were literally no walls up! This gave us great confidence in the quality and care they would take with the finishes.

"The cost-plus contract was a great way to feel in control of expenses, always knowing what things would cost and having choice in which trades would work on our home. We could not be happier with the result and truly enjoyed the experience.. Let’s do it again!"
